I have not the words.  I can’t even come up with a coherent rant about Jon Corzine, the Governor of a friggin state, driving 91 MILES PER HOUR to rush home the night of his near-fatal accident.  Government vehicles reserve the right to ignore speed limits in the case of emergencies, we are told.  What was so urgent this night?  Meeting Don Imus and the Rutgers basketball team.  CLEARLY WORTH DOING 30 MILES PER HOUR OVER THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE FUCKING PARKWAY FOR THAT.

And not only were they recklessly speeding, putting everyone on that highway in danger, he was NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT.  Old news, yes.  Why am I bringing it up now?  Because apparently he * never * wore his seat belt.  One of the biggest advocates for seat belt laws in the history of the state and he can’t even bring himself to buckle his own?  Sad, that it cost him a broken leg, 11 ribs, collarbone, chest bone, and vertebrae because he couldn’t follow his own advice.

Walk With Me

“I walked a mile with Sorrow, and never a word said she. But oh, the things I learned when Sorrow walked with me.”

Barely a week without a post and already I’m being scolded! Sorry, I’ve been out of the blogging loop for so long it’s been tough breaking back in.

It’s just been one of those weeks. You know the kind where you lose your keys, spill your coffee, find out your dog at your favorite pair of flip-flops and notice that you forgot to charge your iPod last night, all before 8am. I’m looking forward to the 3-day weekend coming up and planning all sorts of mischief. Hopefully by then the cloud of melancholy that’s settled over my head will have passed.
